Leisurely Travels

Thank you for thinking of Leisurely Travels. This little corner of the internet is for couples who like to travel slowly: long breakfasts, unhurried afternoons, and places that are best enjoyed together, at a gentle pace. If that sounds like you, and you love to write about it, we would love to hear from you. We are always looking for guest writers who have actually been there: writers who can share what a place felt like, what worked, what did not, and what they would do differently next time.

If you are looking for a travel blog to write for, a place to submit a travel guest post, or a home for a story about a trip for two, you are in the right place.

Why Write for Leisurely Travels?

  • Your work reaches couples who are actively planning a trip, not just browsing. Our readers are choosing a babymoon, a honeymoon, or a weekend away, and they read carefully.
  • Every guest post includes your name, a short author bio with your photo, and a dofollow link to your blog or website.
  • We share every new guide with our readers, and your post stays live with its link in place.
  • You keep the rights to your photos, and we credit them exactly as you ask.

Travel Guest Post Topics We Accept

We publish thoughtful, practical guides for couples travelling together, including:

  • Babymoon guides: gentle trips, restful stays, and practical advice for travelling while expecting. Start with our babymoon destinations guide to see the kind of piece we love.
  • Honeymoon destinations: romantic places to begin married life, near and far.
  • Romantic getaways: weekends and short escapes for two.
  • Destination guides and itineraries: slow, well-planned routes with honest recommendations.
  • Travel planning and packing: how to plan, what to pack, and how to budget for a trip for two.

Topics We Are Especially Looking For

  • A babymoon in a place you love, and why it worked
  • A honeymoon itinerary you planned yourself
  • A romantic weekend in a city you know well
  • Honest packing or budget guides for couples

Our Guest Post Guidelines

  • Original work only. Please do not send anything published elsewhere, including your own blog.
  • 1,500 words or more, written in a warm, clear, and honest voice.
  • First-person experience is preferred. Tell our readers what you loved, what surprised you, and what is genuinely worth their time and money.
  • Real photos you own or have the rights to use, with credit where it is due.
  • No spun or AI-generated text. We want your voice, your experience, and your words.
  • No casino or adult content, and no irrelevant links. Links should be useful to the reader and relevant to the article. One or two links to your own relevant work are welcome.
  • We edit for clarity, accuracy, and house style, and we will show you the edited version before we publish.

How to Submit Your Travel Guest Post

  1. Pitch your idea. Send a short email with your topic, two or three sentences about what the piece will cover, and a link to one piece of writing you are proud of.
  2. Send your draft. Once we agree on the topic, send the full draft as a Google Doc or Word document, with your photos and a short author bio.
  3. We publish and share. We read every pitch and reply to every serious one, usually within a week. If your piece is a fit, we will agree on a publish date and send you the live link once it is up.

Send your pitch to theleisurelytravel@gmail.com with the subject line “Guest Post Pitch: [Your Topic]”. You can also reach us through our contact page if you would rather get in touch that way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you pay for guest posts?

At the moment we do not pay for guest posts. What we offer is a permanent home for your work, a named author bio with your photo, and a dofollow link to your blog or website.

Will I get a backlink to my website?

Yes. Every guest post includes a dofollow link to your blog or website in your author bio, and you may include one or two relevant links inside the article itself.

How long does it take to hear back?

We read every pitch and reply to every serious one, usually within a week. If your topic is a fit, we will talk through the details with you.

Can I republish my guest post elsewhere?

We ask that your piece stays exclusive to Leisurely Travels. You are welcome to link to it from your own site and share a short excerpt with a link back.

What if my topic is not on your list?

Pitch it anyway. If it is useful to couples planning a slow, romantic trip, and it comes from real experience, we want to hear about it.

Do you accept sponsored posts?

If you are writing on behalf of a brand, hotel, or destination, say so in your pitch. We consider partnerships separately from guest posts, and we will be honest about what we can and cannot do.

Thank you for considering writing for us. We cannot wait to hear where love has taken you, and where it might take our readers next. — Diana
